Review: Nars Narsissist Wanted Eyeshadow Palette & Diorshow Pump N Volume Mascara

I'm back with yet another review on some of these new products that people are dying to try!

 Nars Narsissist Wanted Eyeshadow Palette

Firstly I just want to mention how pretty the packaging is and when you open a new eyeshadow palette it's just so satisfying looking at all the pretty colours available and thinking of all the possible new makeup look you will try.

I ordered the Narsissist Wanted Eyeshadow Palette on the House of Fraser website as they uploaded on their website before John Lewis or Selfridges. But when the package came one of the colour smashed which I was so disappointed at. But this palette has some basic colours which you could use as a base and loads of shimmer colours which I love to use on a daily/work basis. I tried some of the colours and they don't have fall outs which are important and I wouldn't really say the colour is that pigment compared to palettes like Modern Renaissance where the colour picks up really easily so you need to control it when applying.

Here are some swatches of the colours. As you can see even if I tried swiping the colour a few times the colour doesn't seem to show up that impressively, which is a shame as I was looking forward to the launch of this product. but the glitters are really pretty and does show up more than I thought.

Diorshow Pump N Volume Mascara

What I look for a Mascara is really simple yet difficult to find is that it doesn't give me panda eyes. You don't want to put a mascara on and worry constantly that your mascara has gone underneath your eye that you need to fix on a girls night out or with a partner. This mascara I tested it out on a day out with my partner for a cinema date and dinner. After the cinema which I did have a bit of tear so I was worried that the mascara ran down my eye area so when I check I was so surprised that everything was fine.

You must be thinking this must be another product that Youtubers/ Instagramers are just raving about and it's not a good product. Because I honestly thought that but was curious and wanted another mascara that works as I hardly have any.  I get persuaded easily on products to buy from influences on the web and some products are really not worth the money. But this mascara surprised me because even some of the popular mascaras like Better than Sex by Too Faced or some of the iconic Maybelline mascara don't work for me.

Below is an image to show you the before and after one coat of the mascara. As you can see I have like non-existent eyelashes which this mascara helped me a bit. I don't usually apply mascara on a regular basis but I think I will start to wear it more as this one I don't need to worry about my makeup getting ruined.

Overall I will purchase both items if I was given another choice as the mascara really did work for me which I was amazed and the eyeshadow palette is really pretty even though the colours lacked a bit of colour pigmentation overall both products are good.

Thank you for reading! Hopefully, you'll look forward to my next posts in the future!

Flight Attendant/Cabin Crew Interview Process

This post will entail the whole process that I went through to get the job as a cabin crew from sending your CV to the training process. The whole process took from Dec-May that was when the training started which I will talk about later in the post about the length and what it includes.

I just got out of uni and thought about what I would like to do after studying. I just wanted to play and travel the world a bit before entering the adult world. But knowing my parents will want me to have a stable job and income is probably their first thought before I even graduated, to get them off my back I searched what I wanted to do that was related to my major and just didn’t find anything I fancy; not that I’m being picky or anything. Then my uni friend messaged me saying that she applied for cabin crew and told me to try so I was like what’s his harm in that and went for it and just sent my cv to the company.

After around a few days I got a phone call from an unknown number not thinking anything I just picked it up and they told me they wanted to have an interview in around week times. But I found that most airline companies will mostly call you as the next process will likely eliminate a most of the people.

A week filled with excitement turned to a panicking moment when the interview day arrived. When I got to the airport I was told to wait by an area and they will have a staff take you up to their office. When everyone arrived they took out a post stick note and drew a line around half way and stuck it on the wall next to a door. Whoever passed the height test was able to go to in the room to go through the interview. Those that can’t pass the height test will be sent home. The height was around 153cm (not 100% sure but around that height). The interview was group based that was split into two groups, they would give you a topic which at that time I got what are the cons about the company intangible and tangible products after 5-10 mind you need to present the idea. This interview I think just shows your ability to work as a team, outspoken with ideas and isn’t shy to talk to a group.

After this stage, you will hopefully get a phone call that says you’ve passed to the next stage for another interview but this time it’s one on one. The interview was taken in the sample place as the group interview but this time it’s a much smaller group of people taking turns to do the interview. for my interview they didn't ask me any previous job experience or how would you resolve duh and duh, which I actually prepared to answer. They asked me where do I see myself in 5 years time; what are my pros and cons. they showed me this image of a plane with a captain or passenger can't remember doing something wrong and asked you what your first reaction would be. my interview was relatively short compared to others one reason might be because it's my first job so no prior experience that I can tell.

I still remember that I performed not that well in the interview so I wasn’t really expecting good news when I got the phone call. But thankfully they told me I passed but I still needed to do the body check to be able to get the job. They have a specific company place to get your body checked but they need to do the x-ray stuff at another hospital around 10 mins drive. They ask if your got scars, moles and they are very particular with tattoos on your body. They ask you simple questions like you got motion sickness and any medication you take or drugs; take your height, the blood sample. Just the basic body examination.

After that, you wait around a week like the rest of the stages on if the got the job or not from the health examination.  They then send you the contract and you read carefully and send it back, they will call you again and set up another meeting that entails information on the training; what you need to bring and what it will include; some documents that you might need to bring for them to photocopy (passport, birth certificate, education certificate, NI, card details and etc); you meet everyone that will be training with you for 6-7 weeks.
Whilst they photocopy the documents one by one will get tested on their language that they mentioned on the CV as they will need to make PA (Public Announcements) also one of the requirements that are needed is Good English and another language as well.

After this meeting, they will set another date where you will need to get to the training centre which is located abroad for my company.

This is just how my interview went through  with this particular company not all airline companies will have these same specific requiments or process.

I will post another post on what the training included and my feeling about it.

[Travel] Japan Osaka 6 Day Trip Plan/Guide

I have been to Osaka a few times and my family recently went and wanted me to create a plan for them so that they could make it the most in the 6 days in Osaka. Bear in mind that my family consists of four people and interests are different from you so this plan might be completely right for or not. You could just use this as an example for your upcoming trip to Osaka as well.

I recommend you download a railway app too. I have used the 'City Rail Map' it's got a pink background with a train logo. You will need to download the map beforehand. But I really like to used the tool to calculate how much time it will take, how many transfers and what line you need to take. Most importantly this is FREE!

Assuming that you will arrive at Kansai airport (KIX). I have tried a few different hotel in Osaka but don't have a definite one that I will totally recommend on location and the room. But generally, a normal hotel room will be relatively smaller than most you've seen. One of the hotels I've tried is APA which is a famous hotel branch in Japan I've tried their hotel in Tokyo as well. Their hotel rooms are quite small so is the toilet. But when I choose a hotel/motel or hostel all I care about is separate bathrooms and decent clean room as most of the time I'll be outside exploring so no need for a good room and pay extra.

Day 1:

What I usually do when I land and arrive at the hotel is to explore and walk around the hotel to know my surroundings. Because if you go out to other places straight away when you go back to the hotel you may not find it easy to find the way. Also, you get to know if there are a supermarket, convenience store (which is really good in Japan), restaurants and train/bus stations.

What I wrote for my family to do after they arrive at the hotel is the following:
  • Explore Shinsaibashi ( Shopping District and food too)
  • Dotonbori (famous eating street)
Just these two places are enough to fill your one to the half day of eating or shopping! some of the places that I recommend you stopping by are shown below:

  • 551 horas meat bun (must eat!)
  • Must visit/take photo Glico candy company
  • Yakiniku buffet all you can eat Japanese bbq meat
  • Ichiran Ramen or Ippudo ramen (一風堂 池田店)
  • A range of huge logo outside of the shops are very famous; crab; dumplings
  • Melonpan shop
  • Takoyaki
  • Okonomiyaki
  • Kushikatsu (串カツ) - Kushikatsu Daruma (串カツだるま) restaurant
  • Yakitori -Tayutayu Nambasennichimaeten (たゆたゆ 難波千日前店) restaurant- How to get there: The location of Tayutayu Nambasennichimaeten (たゆたゆ 難波千日前店) right across the street from Dotonburi. You can get there easily from Nipponbashi station

Day 2:

The next day I arranged the full day dedicated to Universal Studios Osaka because this place will most likely fill up your whole day. Make sure to check out the timetable on their website as the week ends they usually open at 9:30 am and weekday 9:00 am and closing time is a bit different too.

- Prices:
7,600 yen (12-64 years old) Express Passes, that allow holders to skip lines for selected rides, are available for four rides (Pass 4) (between 4,500 and 8,100 yen depending on the day) on the day of the visit at the entrance gate and inside the park. Express Passes may sell out on busy days. Rides include Harry Potter 4K3D, Minion Mayhem, Spiderman 4K3D or Jurassic Park – The Ride and JAWS or Terminator 2:3-D, Backdraft

The last time I went I didn't purchase the ticket beforehand so I had to queue up, in the end, we didn't get to buy any good passes as the most popular ones were sold out. I would really recommend you buy the passes especially on holiday and busy days. Some of the popular rides will take up to 2 hours or more to queue so that would waste a lot of time. I would recommend the Harry Potter 4K3D ride that was the best part for me and the place was really magical!
Minion land has been expanded I heard which is pretty new so there should be more stuff to do there if you're a big fan of that!

But if you are big on rides and just want to take photos and walk around then I suggest you can save the money and just buy the normal entry ticket.

- Access by Train

From Osaka Station, the fare is just 180 yen. You can either take a direct train and be there in 12 minutes or make a quick transfer at Nishikujo Station and be there in 15 minutes.

From Osaka Namba Station take the Hanshin Namba Line to Nishikujo Station and then transfer to the JR Sakurajima Line. The journey time is 20 minutes and costs 360 yen.

From JR Namba Station take the JR Yamatoji Line to Imamiya Station, then transfer to the Osaka Loop Line and go on to Nishikujo Station. At Nishikujo Station change to the JR Sakurajima Line. The journey time is 25 minutes and the fare is 180 yen.

From Kansai International Airport take the Kansai Airport Rapid Service to Nishikujo Station, and then transfer to the JR Sakurajima Line. The journey time is 1 hour and 20 minutes and the fare is 1,190 yen.

From Osaka Itami Airport take the Osaka Monorail to Hotarugaike Station and transfer to the Hankyu Takarazuka Line. Take a train bound for Hankyu Umeda Station. At Umeda transfer to Osaka Station and catch a train bound for Universal City. The journey time is 42 minutes and the fare is 600 yen

Another Possibility if you have time to spare: very close to Universal Studios

 Tempozan Marketplace (shopping/dining complex)

Located between the Tempozan Ferris Wheel and Osaka Aquarium; is a large shopping centre with plenty of dining to choose from. Many of them have English menus, so ordering is easy.

Naniwa Kuishinbo Yokocho (food street)
Located inside the Tempozan Marketplace, the outlook of this shopping street is like an old era of Japan style with small restaurants selling all the usual Osaka specialities like okonomiyaki, takoyaki and kushikatsu. This is the best place to eat in the Tempozan area but like many places in Japan, it can be crowded during peak hours.

Osaka Aquarium or Tempozan Giant Ferris Wheel
both nearby to Universal Studio

Day 3:

Explore the Kita District

-Umeda Sky Building (skyscraper/observation deck) - About 10 minutes’ walk from the central north gate of JR Osaka Station, accessible by an underground walkway, the Umeda Sky Building is one of the tallest buildings in Osaka.Tickets for the Kuchu Teien Observatory can be purchased on the 3rd floor of the east tower. There’s an indoor and outdoor observatory
Travel from JR Osaka Station (Red line) to Tanimachi 4-chrome Station (Green Line) take 23 Mins with one transfer at Morinomiya Station using Chūō - Cosmo Square line (green)or
JR Osaka Station (Red line) to Osakajokoen Station takes 9 mins and 4 stations

- Travel to the Osaka Castle Area - Opening hours: 9:00 – 5:00 (last admission 4:30), Admission Fee: Adult 600 JPY;  If you have a subway day pass you get 100 JPY off. I recommend you going from Otemon Gate at the park's southwestern corner to get to the castle. The closest station is Tanimachi 4-chrome Station along the Tanimachi Subway Line and Chuo Subway Line

You could consider going to Osaka Castle Garden (Nishinomaru Garden) for 200 yen (350 yen during the extended hours of the cherry blossom season). CLOSED ON MONDAY!!!
Travel from Tanimachi 4-chrome Station to Shitennoji-mae-Yuhigaoka Station take 5 mins - No transfer

Shitennoji Temple - How to get there: Shitennoji is a short walk from Shitennoji-mae-Yuhigaoka Station on the Tanimachi Subway Line. It can be reached in 10 minutes walk north of JR Tennoji Station on the JR Loop Line
Opening Times - Inner precinct: 8:30 - 4:30pm (300 Yen), Gokuraku-Jodo Garden: 8:30 - 4:30pm (300 Yen), Treasure House 8:30 - 4:30pm (500 Yen)
The outer temple grounds are free to enter, but there is an admission fee to enter the inner precinct,  Gokuraku-Jodo Garden and the treasure house. One of Japan's oldest temples and the first ever to be built by the state

Day 4:

- Kuromon Ichiba Market (Fish Market) - Opens at 9 am; Nipponbashi, Chuo-ku, Osaka, Osaka Prefecture 542-0073, Japan;
HOW TO GET THERE: Kuromon Ichiba Market is about a 10-15 minute walk from the Shinsaibashi-Dotonbori area. You can also take the subway and get off at the Nipponbashi station if you live far from that area.
I would really recommend you get there early that when most of the choices are available and fresher. But many people go early so the queues will be long some times so be prepared for it to be crowded.

-Ramen Museum (Momofuku Ando Instant Ramen Museum)
Address: 8-25 Masumi-cho, Ikeda-shi, Osaka 563-0041, Japan
Nearest train station
Ikeda Station on the Hankyu Takarazuka Line (approximately a 20 mins ride from Hankyu Umeda Station via express train). The museum is approximately a 5 min. walk from the Masumi-cho Homen Exit. Opening times 9:30 am – 4:00 pm (Last admission is at 3:30 pm)
-My CUPNOODLES Factory - 300 yen for each CUP NOODLES

Ever so popular with tourist is making your cup noodle. You can draw or write anything on the cup and they help you pack it inside a protective bag to take back home. My brother made a soup base of spicy tomato with cheese bits which he super loves. There are many fillings and soup base to choose from.

Day 5:

Osaka to Nara:
JR line is covered by the Japan Rail Pass, but the Kintetsu Line is not! there are two options to get to Nara which is if you have the rail pass or not.

Japan rail pass:
The JR Yamatoji Line: Traveling from Osaka Station the Yamatoji Rapid Service - 50 minutes for 800 yen

No rail pass:
The Kintetsu Nara Line: Traveling from Osaka Namba Station, a Rapid Express train on the Kintetsu Nara Line - 39 minutes for 560 yen

My family used the Kintetsu line and said it was really easy to navigate and cheap half day tour away from Osaka. I suggested them going to Kyoto as well since they spend a lot of days in Osaka. But they don't know how to navigate by themselves and scared to get lost so they opted out. instead just stuck with Nara which is easy to go to.

Nara's main points of attraction:
-  Deer feeding - Buy their favourite snack (shika sembei deer biscuit) to feed them, Deers bow if you bow at them
-  There are a few shrines/temples but I would recommend only going to one if you're not that interested in temples. But if you have time and are interested the temples there are a few I listed down and you can go to the ones that are your preference.

- Todaiji Temple - The present structure is completed in 752; The largest wooden building in the world and has a 50-foot Buddha. Admission fee is 500 Yen
- Visiting Kasuga Taisha Shrine - As you walk to the shrine there are around 2000 stone lanterns along the walkway. Once inside the shrine, there are around 1000 bronze lanterns hanging from the building. Admission fee is 500 Yen
- Kofukuji Temple - Over a period of time the temple has been destroyed, however, there are a few that still remain and they are amazing!
Over time, the temple’s buildings have been destroyed, however, a few still remain and are quite spectacular – especially the five story pagoda, which is Japan’s second tallest
- Shinyakushi-ji Temple - A Buddhist temple that was founded in 747 by Empress Kōmyō, it suffered from fire damage and deteriorated
 - Nara National Museum - Another option if you're more interested in a history of the places that you are exploring!

Day 6:

Usually I will plan the last day with 'Anything that hasn't been done!' like souviniers shopping or any shopping; last minue conveince shopping or anything you want to eat!

[Review] COSRX ONE STEP PIMPLE CLEAR PADS

Today, I will be reviewing the famous Cosrx One Step Pimple Clear Pads. I know several brands that are slowly bringing out similar products as well; Nip and Fab are one of them. I have only tried this brand so I don't have anything to compare with.

I used this after my toner or sometimes as my toner because if feel like a gentle exfoliator also because the consistency I get after the application isn't as fresh as I thought it would be, I would feel like there is a layer of product on my face but I wouldn't say it that bothering. There is a strong alcoholic smell so if you're not a big fan of that smell then this product is not for you!

The pads are double sided; one side has dots pattern;  one side is more smooth. You would need to used the dots side to help exfoliate the face then swap to the smoother side for another application. In my opinion, I don't think there is any difference with trying to use both sides when applying on the face. I just use this after my flights because that's when my skin is the worse.

 Side with dots:

I feel that this product hasn't made such a big impact on my face. There is a difference when I do use this product but not massively, wouldn't run out to restock this product in case it runs out. For anyone wondering, I bought mine from Style Korean.

 Ratings:

Texture: 3.5/5
Smell: 3/5
Application: 4/5
Overall:  3.5/5

131110 Gmarket Haul + Twofacemall + Cosmetic-love and Ebay

Hi,

A little update on my recent purchase with Gmarket. This might be the first time which I have experienced with them of having problems with my order.  I actually ordered several things that I am planning to give away as presents to family members but 2 items which were both presents were suddenly canceled and another returned for some reason. They didn't even notify me but since I do check my order everyday I go to know straight away also they sent be back a refund but if I remember correctly not all the products were refunded totally which I am really upset about with Gmarket.

Collective haul: New balance, Topshop, J.estina, Hollister and H&M

Hi,

I think after this post I will take a hiatus on this blog  :( since I have a lot of school work so I might not be able to update this blog as often as I used to be. But this is just a small haul of what I have accumulated these few weeks. The clothing pieces that I have chosen are mostly inspiration from Heirs and other dramas and Kpop stuff.

From New Balance I brought a new pair of trainers and I am absolutely loving these shoes they are my daily shoes now. I normally just go for trainers since flats and other types of shoes make my feet hurt or even worse get blisters. These trainers are really comfortable I am able to walk in these for quite some times as well which will be good for going on holidays in the future.

The colour in the picture shoes more to the purple side  but the colour I choose is burgundy since I saw CNBlue Minhyuk wore burgundy shoes in episode one of Heirs and I thought that colour is really nice and would really suit winter seasons so I really wanted this colour.  I want to try out New balance shoes for once so I choose then in this colour and I must say this purchase is worth every penny ^^. These shoes costs £56 if I remember the price correctly.

Next item I purchased is from Topshop and this coat was really expensive but I have been wearing my previous coat like this style for around 3 years already. I like this style of parka and its really trendy and will continue to have this style even in the future years so this is worth investing :)

I got this coat in their 20% student discount so the total for this coat costs around £76. It's really warm and suitable for the English weather. Here is another picture of me wearing the coat haha

Another items I purchased for around 2 weeks ago is this J.estina necklace that is from the drama Master's sun. This is an absolutely amazing drama loved the drama and the cast this might have been one of my favorite drama for the year. The necklace was ordered from Ebay seller Hyundai mall I think which is a safe seller so if you want to buy this necklace as well you can check out that seller. The shipping took around 2 weeks which is reasonable considering this item came from Korean. This necklace costs £50 and I purchased the women version of the product thinking it might be the female lead version. Which is seriously wrong the version that she wore I think was the male version. From my observation since the product was sponsored they need to make sure the viewers are able to check the product properly so they might have given the female lead a larger version.

This is the picture of the necklace and another picture of my hand comparing with the necklace. Its really dainty compared to what I expected but this size is pretty good as well to match with more feminine pieces since if the necklace is too big and wearing very feminine clothing won't match that well.

Another items I brought was from Hollister and it's another parka. I just seriously own so much of this style jacket and colour. Because they match clothes well and its just a stable colour that will be still stylish in future years. This jacket costs £37 and this was on sale ^^

Lastly this finally outfit were all purchased from H&M. This outfit was actually inspired by Krystal in Heirs. I know she wears a cream knit top but I just fancy burgundy colour in the winter so I choose another burgundy item again.I know that my body isn't as perfect as Krystal but I just like fashion and dressing up a lot ad like to try out new concepts.

Finally since \I didn't really take a picture off what my outfit from Stylenanda looked like I took some pictures so what it looked on my body. But seriously I am not thin and I am on the fatter side so please excuse this ^^

Thanks for reading :) Hope you have an amazing day and week ^^ I will be back with more amazing reviews as soon as possible!

Review: Mamonde Pure White Sleeping Pack

I am back this week with another review. This time on skincare and the brand that I will be reviewing is Mamonde. This brand is currently endorsed by SNSD Yuri, but I didn't intentionally purchase this product I was suppose to buy Laneige's water bank sleeping pack but on Gmarket the Korean got me a little confused which made me order wrongly. But this product is heard to be really good so I am happy to talk about what I thought about this product.

At first this product packaging and colour is really pretty since it's in light pink also the the bottle comes with quite a lot of product with 80ml of product and since I only do sleeping packs weekly, this bottle can be used for a long time. The fragrance that this product has is really nice it's got this perfume that my mom use to own and its kinda like floral scent but little bit on the stronger side. The texture that this product when applied onto the face is really sticky and I didn't expect this since I have been using Innisfree's wine sleeping mask before and that was really light and absorbed really quickly onto my face. However this sleeping pack was really sticky and after a few hours I can still feel the product on my face not absorbed in. On the packaging it self it has been said that it contains white flower acid and meadow sweet flower. Which might have explained the strong floral scent.

Now on to the results of this sleeping pack since it has claimed to be whitening which is what I really like in my products that I buy. I only used this once but I can't really say that my face's complexion gone whiter or not. But this mask did make my face feel really hydrated the next morning and really soft feeling to it as well which lasted for a few days. Which I am really happy about but I think this mask is supposed to be more effective if you use it for a longer period of time since I have only used it once and didn't really fancy the sticky feeling on my face which kind of made my hair stick to my face as well which is why I haven't been using it again. But maybe when I have more time this I might try using it again.

Overall I can say that this product for the price that I paid for I wouldn't go for this product again as compared to the Innisfree Wine Sleeping pack since this product was quite expensively brought on Gmarket. If this product did give me straight away results then I might go for it again but since I really don't fancy the texture of the product so I am not going to re-purcahse this product again.

Thanks for reading ^^
